Why Sunday

A day Baba Ji is said to listen most attentively

Sunday — Ravivar — is the day of Suraj Dev, of light returning to the world. For devotees of Baba Balak Nath Ji it is also the day the pilgrim climbs the hill to Deotsidh, and the day the mannat is laid at His feet. The Sunday vrat is the simplest mannat a household can keep. One day. One bowl. One name held quietly through the hours.

The Fruit

The Fruit of the Sunday Vrat

Not as promises, but as the natural ripening of one day kept with care.

Solar Strength

Sunday is ruled by Suraj Dev. Brightens ojas — the inner light.

Calms Pitta

A day of sattvic phalahar settles the heat of body and speech.

Clears the Mind

The hunger of one day burns small attachments.

Closeness to Baba Ji

Sunday is the day He is said to receive devotees most readily.

Fulfils Sankalp

Vows kept across seven or eleven Sundays carry weight.

Generosity Returns

Daan on Ravivar — given quietly — is the seed of good fortune.

जय बाबा बालक नाथ

Keep One Sunday — and See

Begin with a single Ravivar. If the heart finds rest in it, keep five. Then eleven. The vrat asks for nothing the day cannot give back.
