Daily Sadhana
A devoted life is not built in great gestures. It is built in small rhythms, repeated until they become breath. Below is one such rhythm — bend it to your own.
Awakening
Sit at the edge of the bed. Three slow breaths. Touch the heart. Offer the day before it begins.
Cleansing
Wash. Drink warm water. Step outside, if you can, to greet the first light.
Pranayama
Nadi shodhana — alternate-nostril breathing. Eight rounds. The mind settles before it has time to wake into worry.
Mantra Japa
Om Namah Shivaya, on the mala. 108 repetitions. The day is consecrated before it is consumed.
Reading
One page of scripture — Gita, Yoga Sutras, or the words of the saints. Read slowly. Underline nothing.
